How one should develop their skills to get higher salary in IT companies. I have got a job offer from a company as a software tester but I feel that the salary package is a bit underpaid. Also let me know how we know the salary standards of testers in various companies.

In today’s time it is not only the IT sector but all professions look for people who have a good personality and is not only a hard worker but a smart worker. The salary these days can vary from person to person. To be able to tell you more we need more information about your qualifications as salary is dependent on various factors - your qualifications, your work experience, designation, city where you are working, the organization, institute where you have done your graduation or post graduation, etc. It would be advisable that you are not salary centric if you are a fresher and got a job offer from a good company.

Hi, we consider that a masters degree is important for an individual to grow in an organisation. You can at this stage choose between 2 options. Either you can take up a job and work for 1-2 years. This will give you a perspective on jobs in the E& C segment. And then you can do a post graduation later. Or you may study further in the Technical side (like a Masters) or do an MBA. The choice of any of these routes depends on your career aspirations.

I have recently started working with an IT company as a trainee. I have worked as a team member on some of their websites and inhouse projects. I now want to update my resume. Can I mention the links of the particular websites that I have worked upon in my resume along with details of the inhouse projects?
